Jst Vibratory Screens

Vibrating screen type SRZ 2500 x 5500 - 6000 for classifying approx. 1000 t/h sand and pebbles.

In all industries where bulk materials, solids and powders are processed, the Jst vibratory screen is synonymous with high quality and efficiency.

Jst vibratory screens are rugged and designed for a long lifetime. Minimal operating costs coupled with low maintenance and a careful handling of the materials are the result of our continuous efforts in research and development.

Due to the wide choice of available Jst vibratory drives, it is possible to select and deliver the most efficient and advantageous screen for each particular application.

Your screening problem will be solved on the basis of the experience Jst gathered on account of the large number of screens supplied. Our testing laboratory is available to you to find optimum solutions for unknown or difficult screening problems.

Jst-vibratory screens have passed extensive safety testing and have been accredited with the high safety certificate "GS".

Vibrating screen type SUZ 1200 x 2500 - 300 for screening plasticgranulates.

Screen Plate

The right choice of the most suitable screen plate is very important to guarantee long screen lifetime with high screening efficiency and without plugging.

Jst cooperates with reputable manufacturers of screen plates. There are standard-type screen plates such as perforated plates, welded grates, and mesh cloths, as well as special plates for example rubber and plastic ones.

The screen clamping or fixing devices are made with particular attention paid to low maintenance.

Whereas, normally, transversally tightened plates are used, longitudinal reinforced flat or insert plates of several segments are taken to answer special requirements.

Screen Box

Depending on the machine-type the screen box, which forms the connection between the screen plate and the drive unit, is a rugged highquality bolted, "huck-bolted" or welded structure.

Separating screen for coarses to be fed into a crusher, type SRN 2800 x 6400, pre-screening of lime-stone at 150mm of slot-opening (max. lump-size 1500 x 1500mm); capacity 5.000 t/h.

All weldable materials which are on the market can be used, depending on the particular application. Parts that are subject to wear are lined with easily exchangeable steel, rubber or plastic linings.

Stress relieved annealed structural parts, surfaces blasted by glass-beads, and also several paint coats are a demonstration of Jst's many possibilities of manufacture, enabling Jst to tackle and answer even the most difficult requirements of the processing industries.

Drives

The correct drive selection is very important for constant longlife screening efficiency, low operating costs, and highest possible output.

Jst has the answer due to its broad program of vibratory drives which assures the optimum drive unit.

Cassette vibrating screen - type SUZ 500 x 900 - 50. Application classifiying of plastic granulates in three fractions.

Jst Shaft Drives: These traditional drive units for screens produce circular vibrations. Their characteristics are a simple design with the possibility of easy speed change by V-belt drives. Shaft drives are mostly used for medium- to large-sized screens.

Jst Unbalance Motors: These straightforward drive units also produce circular or elliptical vibrations. They are primarily used for small- to medium-sized screens, and have fixed rotation speeds which depend on the frequency and the number of poles.

Two Unbalance Motors arranged as a double drive produce linear vibrations and are mainly used for medium-sized Jst vibratory screens. Due to linear vibrations, these screens have a much lower declination than those with shaft drives. In special cases the screens can even run without declination or with a slight inclination.

Vibrating screen, type SRE 1 800 x 4000 - 6000, for the pre-classification of 200 t/h of gold ore at 40 mm of mesh-width; screen bottom of highly wear resistant plastic.

Jst Exciters: Drive units of this type also produce linear vibrations. They are mainly used for vibrating heavy-duty large and very large screens. When installing more than one exciter side by side in very wide screens the driving forces are very efficiently led into the screen box. The drive motor of the exciter is a standard foot-mounted motor the torque of which is transmitted to the exciter either directly via a cardan shaft or by a V-belt drive or a variable speed gear, which enables adjustment to most suitable rotating speed.

Jst Electronic-Magnetic Vibrators: With this type of drive the swing-width (double amplitude) of the screen can be electronically adjusted while the screen is in operation. Electro-magnetic vibrators are used for small to medium-sized vibratory screens. The swinging frequency can be chosen between 25 (30) Hz and 50 (60) Hz - as required.

All Jst vibrating drives are of rugged design and give long liftetime, low maintenance, and, consequently, low operating costs. For more details please review our special catalogues.

Vibrating screen, type SWZ 1400 x 4000 - 2380, for classifiying and dewatering sand and gravel in a treatment plant (double-deck screen, with springkling device and plastic bottoms); capacity 150 t/h of sand-gravel-mixture; separation at 20 mm and 2 mm.

Supports

Jst vibrating screens are supported by suitable springs and thus insulated against vibrations. Jst screens can also be supported by vibration dampening frames, if required. The remaining dynamic residual forces can be neglected.

Modular Components

Jst vibratory screens can be equipped with the following optional components:

Refined stone-chips screening plant in a ballast works, with circular vibrating screens, type SWZ 1600 x 4000 - 3590, for the classification of 120 t/h of chips.

Classification of Vibratory Screens

Classifying

Separating a given quantity of solids into two or more defined fractions is called "classification". The degree of the screening efficiency - or the screening quality - is determined by the portion of oversizes within each single traction. Jst vibratory screens are designed in such a way to ensure best screening efficiency with the smallest possible screening surface.

Controlled Screening

Speaking about controlled screening means to separate foreign particles from product. These foreign particles are mainly of larger grain size, such as coarses, agglomerates, parts of packing material etc. Undersized foreign particles are for example dust, particles from wear, fragments etc.

As the percentage of foreign particles is very often difficult to be determined, Jst's vibratory screens are designed with sufficient safety concerning throughput capacity.

Coarse Screening

When separating coarse particles, screening efficiency as well as correctness of separting into fractions plays a subordinate role only.

Screens for such duty are mainly used where one wishes to relive crushers and mills from fines, or where belt conveyors are to be carefully loaded, i.e. at first fed with fines and afterwards with coarse particles. Jst screens specially designed for these requirements have an exceptionally rugged superstructure.

Dewatering

Dewatering means the separation of solids from liquids as far as possible, The best results are achieved with screens which have plates that are slightly inclined so that the mass of solids can concentrate and build up. Moist sands for instance, coming from a dredger, are dewatered to a degree that they can be conveyed, and chemical granulates are first purified by washing in a rinsing station of the screen, and afterwards most of the adhering liquids is removed.
