DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- New Flexco R9S, now the biggest size available in the Flexco SR Scalloped-Edge rivet-hinged conveyor belt fastener system, features a high-strength 8-rivet attachment, greater reachback, thicker plates and larger hinge pins for longer life on higher-tension belts with mechanical fastener ratings up to 2000 PIW (350 kN/m).

Way finally being cleared for coal-terminal expansion

MINE PROFILE

Nchwanning, Northern Cape

The Nchwaning mine was established in 1972, while the No 2 shaft came into production in 1981. The new shaft complex at the Nchwaning No 3 mine was commissioned in May 2004. The existing plant at Nchwaning mine was upgraded and will process the manganese ore from the new mine through a conveyor system that will be located inside a 2,2 kilometre inclined shaft, one of the largest of its kind in South Africa.
